The Indiana Lions Speech and Hearing, Inc.
Scholarship Program
Encouragement by the Indiana Lions may be a decisive factor in an Indiana youth's decision to enter the fields of Audiology or Speech Pathology. With that in mind the Board of Trustees of the Indiana Lions Speech and Hearing, Inc. have approved a scholarship program to provide up to $1000 each for 2 students per academic year.Funding is on a shared basis with a sponsoring Lions Club. Only 2 scholarships will be awarded each year. In the case of more than 2 applicants, scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement and an essay written by each applicant on why they have chosen Audiology or Speech Pathology as a career.
For a Student to be eligible they must:
- Be majoring in Audiology or Speech Pathology
- Be entering into their junior or senior year or graduate school at an Indiana college or university.
- Make application to and be sponsored by an Indiana Lions Club, which will contribute part of the scholarship.
- Submit with application, a 500-word essay on why they are choosing Audiology or Speech Pathology as a career.
To learn more about this program or to make application contact a Lions Club in your area or one of the Speech and Hearing Trustees.
